How many of us feel as though we’ve been fighting Hell lately? Amen. When we have done all to stand, we stand. We may get knocked down in life, but we are not knocked out.
Isaiah 7:9b
…If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.
…If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.
The kind of standing this verse is talking about is, "life has hit me with its best shot… life has poured all it could out on me"… and if we don’t stand on the Word of God and what we know and believe is Truth, we will not survive. We have to bounce back in our spirit. If it wasn't for God's mercy and love, would we still be standing?
Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.
We will pass through rivers, but the Lord promises that the waters will not overflow us! He leads us into fire, but then appears in the blaze with us. We always have to remember that He is the ‘fourth Man’ in the fire!

Philippians 3:4
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus...
"The word press implies that that we are going to have to exert ourselves in our lives if we are to endure the process and embrace the promise." We need to keep ourselves focused on the jobs that God has given us here on earth, but we will always keep an "eye" on the life that awaits us.

I guess it comes down to a choice, to make an effort to find the good in things even in the midst of a trial.... in any situation. It takes a decision on our part to focus on the life and blessings that God has given us. Jesus promised us that He would never leave us and He would take care of us in life.
